It’s the most infuriating thing you’ve ever read? Wow, seriously? You have got to get out more. Two little sentences saying that if you complain about a problem, you should be willing to help resolve it is the most offensive thing you’ve seen in your life? Why is that, do you think? Why is it so infuriating to you? Could it be perhaps that I am suggesting that you (as a consumer of this product) are partly to blame for these things since you pay for them to happen, and you don’t want to have to acknowledge that because if you did you’d be required to change your deep rooted ignorance, is that …

Can’t we just agree to disagree? What’s beautiful here is the fact that the calves of a dairy cow were salvaged and saved from the wretched grasp of the dairy and beef industry. Advocate consciousness, not your way of life. The more we learn about the relationship humans share with other animals, the more compassionate society will be. That’s the only way we can truly get anywhere.

I am so tired of this “RESPECT MY OPINION I’LL RESPECT YOURS~” nonsense. Can you not understand that this is not about my opinion against your opinion? We cannot just agree to disagree because this is not about us. You are not taking into consideration all of the numerous lives that also come into play here. If this was an issue that only affected you and me, sure, I wouldn’t even be bothering to reply to you or anyone else. I do not care about you or what any of you have opinions on unless these “opinions” and the choices you make in regards to them affect others. But like I said, over and over again, it has nothing to do with us, or any humans. It’s about all of these animals who are currently living this horror and all of those that are going to be born into this in the future. And it’s about the fact that people like you are paying for this to happen.

You are right about one thing, it’s beautiful that these two were saved. But we cannot pretend that there are not thousands of others exactly the same as these two, just as deserving of our attention and empathy, who are locked up in crates somewhere being treated in the same disgusting manner as these two were. There are thousands upon thousands of baby calves who are currently still a part of this wretched system and they will soon die being a part of it.

What’s the use in appreciating this story if we don’t learn anything from it? Yes, we should be happy that these two have a happy ending, but does that mean we should turn a blind eye to the entire rest of the issue here and the fact that countless calves are going to be born into the exact same conditions these were rescued from? How does that make any sense?

That’s exactly what I am doing here is advocating consciousness and promoting a new perspective of the relationship between humans and animals. The only way to “truly get anywhere” is if people adopt a different mindset towards all animals. People must learn that animals do not exist for our needs, and their lives are not ours to control. As long as people see animals as items to exploit — as a means of food, entertainment, clothing, or anything else of our benefit — these kinds of things will progress.

The only way that we can evoke a change in consciousness is with our own actions and the choices we make as consumers. If you eat dairy, you support this (knowingly or not), plain and simple. We can either be self-absorbed and continue paying money towards these atrocious industries that thrive off of the manipulation and suffering of others; or we can realize for ourselves that to do so would be unethical and it would be a complete contradiction of any false consciousness we try to tell ourselves we have by continuing in these heartless ways. The choices each of us make after we have this kind of information is what determines our consciousness and our compassion. How is that so hard to grasp?

OH GOD THIS!!!!!^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ SO MUCH RESPECT RIGHT NOW.
